Introduction | 1. Total Credentials Awarded, Existing Commonwealth Goals
Award 100,000 cumulative undergraduate degrees to in-state students between 2010-11 and 2024-25. Established in the Virginia Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2011, the goal to place the Commonwealth among the most highly educated states and countries by awarding 100,000 cumulative additional undergraduate degrees on Virginians from public institutions between 2011 and 2025, accompanied by a comparable percentage increase in privately conferred undergraduate degrees in the Commonwealth over the same period.
